Jesus said: “The Harvest is great, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord Who is in charge of the Harvest; ask Him to send more workers into His fields.” (Luke 10:2 NLT).

The Lord has been speaking to me about the above-mentioned verse as well as Eph. 4. 4:11-12. What is the Purpose of the Evangelist? It is true that as Evangelists we must preach the Gospel and win souls, but equally important it is part of the Evangelist’s purpose and calling to equip and identify other evangelists and Soul-Winners to reach their world for Christ. Therefore, we have been sensing the Lord “recalibrating” the purpose and direction of our Ministry. we want to do more than ever before to help fulfill the Great Commission.

We are in the process of developing this new approach (I have completed a one-day training Manual for Evangelists that was first tested and presented to a group of young soul-winners from several African Countries). It was a great success. I will also communicate, meet and collaborate with the Pastors of the East Rand Region and other Regions regarding the development of this initiative.

My heart’s desire is to see at least one evangelist in EVERY AFM Congregation
Trained, equipped, mentored, and released to Evangelize. But the aim is that the Evangelist will be in a very close working relationship with his/her Pastor. The goal is to establish this working relationship between the Pastor and Evangelist to win their immediate area and own city/town for Jesus. But instead of just reaching out, we want to train the Evangelist, Church members, Pastor, etc to do thorough and systematic follow-up and Discipleship of those new converts. Communities must be saved and Churches must grow. That is what the relationship between the Pastor and Evangelist must produce.
