The greatest detergent ever!
1 John 1:7: “The Blood of Jesus Christ, His Son, cleanses us from all sin.” (NKJV)
There are so many adverts on TV about different kinds of soaps, detergents and cleaning products. Every one of these detergents and cleaning products has special ingredients that enable it to wash away dirt and stains.
But the question is: “When do we really see the effectiveness, value and power of the product?” Only when we apply the detergent or soap to the dirt and stain! Many atheists mock the Blood of Jesus and say it does not have the ability to wash away our sin, because they have not yet “applied” the Blood to their sinful nature!
When do we see the effect of a cleaning product? Only when we use it! Even if a person works in a factory that manufactures “Lux” or “Dove”, he/she will not automatically be clean from dirt. No, they must go to the shower, apply the “Dove” soap to their dirty bodies, and then see the soap’s effect!
That’s how the Blood of Jesus works. To see and experience its effect, we must “apply” it to our “sin-stained” lives! We must allow God to wash us in the Blood of Christ.
Another thing about the Blood of Jesus is: It does not just cover our sin, but washes it away completely! Imagine I have a beautiful wooden table and I spill out coffee on it and it creates a stain. The easiest thing to do to hide the stain is to cover it with a tablecloth. The stain is still there, even though no one can see it with the naked eye.
That’s not how the Blood of Jesus works. No, His Blood does not “hide” our sins, but removes every stain of sin in our lives! Hallelujah!
Maybe you speculate whether the Blood of Jesus works or not. Well, just as soap, you must apply the Blood to your live to witness its powerful effect. Or maybe you have stains of sin in your live that you try to “hide” from people. The thing is, people may not see the stains, but it is still there.
You can get totally rid of all the “stains” in your live by allowing Jesus to wash you with and in is Blood! Ask Him to wash you, and He WILL!!!
